What will help your case

Officers reject diaries for the same few reasons. Tick each one as you set it up.

Log every event with a start and an end time Log the quiet days too, so there are no gaps Keep the phone in the same spot every night Photograph where the phone sits, window open or closed Note anyone else who heard it (a witness) Don't confront them, and never record their conversation Keep copies of letters you send or receive Keep going for the full 14 days, even if it goes quiet

Why: your council (Merri-bek) and most others want a two-week diary with no holes, and will not act on "it's loud all the time".
